My family and I have been taking our dogs to Animal Clinic of Hollis Court for over 15 years at his point, and we're very happy with the care they have given. Dr. Zahran has saved the lives of 2 of our dogs over these years and we couldn't be more grateful.

Everyone there is great from the receptionist to the vet tech to the vet. Appointments are always timely, everything seems clean and organized. My dogs have always been treated with the utmost care and consideration.

After bringing both of my dogs here for many years, we’ve decided this clinic is no longer a good fit. Last week we dealt with a very rude vet tech during a routine allergy shot visit—the last thing you need when your dogs are already anxious about being at the vet. After that visit and a review I posted about it, the clinic ignored a refill request from a pharmacy for an injection my dog needs every two weeks. When I called to follow up, I was told they wouldn’t approve it unless I brought my dog in for a checkup and blood work. My dog had a full blood panel done in July, and this medication does not require blood work every 6 months or anything of the sort. When I questioned them about this, I was told the vet on duty couldn’t approve the prescription because they didn’t have a Veterinarian‑Client‑Patient Relationship (VCPR) with my dog. However, they also said Dr. Zohran would be back just two days later. If that was the case, the reasonable response would have been to wait for Dr. Zohran to review and approve the prescription when he returned, rather than demanding an unnecessary visit and additional blood work. Everything I’ve read also indicates that if a dog has been treated at a clinic for years and has recent exams and bloodwork on file, the clinic still generally maintains a valid VCPR and should be able to refill routine medications even if the primary vet is not in the office. Instead, there was zero accountability—only excuses. When you choose a vet, you’re trusting them with your pet’s health and well-being. They were either intentionally being petty about my review, or more interested in trying to get more money out of me than doing right by my dog. Unfortunately, this experience made it feel like professionalism and patient care are not their priority. I would recommend finding a clinic that treats clients and their pets with more professionalism and respect.

This was my first time taking my pet to a veterinarian in the U.S. I chose this clinic because after calling many well-known vets, they all said treatment would require at least two visits. **Animal Clinic of Hollis Court** was the only one willing to do blood tests and provide treatment on the same day. Since I’m from East Asia, where most veterinary care is done in one visit, I would highly recommend this clinic if efficiency is important to you. Originally, I thought my cat only needed a dental cleaning. However, after examining the teeth, the veterinarian said an extraction might be necessary. At the time, since I didn’t fully understand the situation, I initially preferred not to remove any teeth. While waiting, I reconsidered and eventually decided to follow the doctor’s recommendation. They were very patient throughout the process and even recorded a video of the dental examination after the cleaning so I could review it and decide about the extraction. In the end, I followed their advice. They handled everything very efficiently, and my cat had no complications afterward. The total cost came to $2,100, which I do think is quite expensive. But for me, efficiency and quality of service come first, so I accepted it. If I need veterinary care again in the future, I will choose them again.
